CARY, N.C.— The Utah women's tennis team sent four Utes to the 2025 ITA Women's All-American Championships in
Sara Akid,
Kaila Barksdale,
Emmie Moore and
Emma Kamper. Moore and Kamper both had strong performances with Kamper making a deep run.
Emmie Moore started the tournament off strong by defeating Arizona's Tanvi Narendran, 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, to start off her prequalifying play. Moore then went on to defeat Rice's Darya Schwartzman with 6-4, 6-4 scores. In the Prequalifying Round of 64 she won in straight sets against Harvard's Charlotte Owensby, 6-2, 6-3 to push her into the qualifying round.
In the Qualifying Round of 64, Moore battled but fell to Washington's Reece Carter 7-5, 6-1.
Utah's
Emma Kamper started off the tournament strong with a win against Tennessee's Maeve Thornton with 6-3, 7-5 scores. She went on to pick up a 6-1, 6-4 win against TCU's Letizia Corsini. Kamper then finished the prequalifying round by defeating Penn State's Patricia Grigoras with a 6-4, 6-4 win to advance to the qualifiers.
Kamper continued to find success in qualifying play. She first faced Kansas' Kyoba Kubo winning the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-1 in the Round of 64. She then went on to pick up a 7-6(3), 3-6, 6-1 win against No. 3 seeded Caroline Driscoll from Stanford in the Round of 32.
Kamper stayed hot by getting another straight set win with scores of 6-2, 6-4 over No. 8 UNC-Chapel Hill's Theadora Rabman in the Main Draw Round of 64.
Kamper's time in North Carolina would ultimately come to an end with back-to-back losses. She posted a  3-6, 2-6 loss against Georgia's Deniz Dilek in the Main Round of 32 and 3-6, 5-7 loss against Georgia's Aysegul Mert in the Consolation Round of 32.

UP NEXT
The Utes continue fall play at the Big 12 Individuals Tournament in Waco, Texas Sept. 25-28 and will then head to the Oregon Duel in Eugene, Oct. 3-5.
