WACO, Texas. – The Utah women's tennis team continued the fall slate at the Big 12 Individuals Tournament hosted by Baylor.
In the Blue Draw opening round, Emma Valletta picked up a three set victory over Valeriia Krokhotina from Houston with scores of 6-1, 5-7, 6-4. In the quarterfinal round, Valletta picked up a 7-6 (7), 2-6, 6-3 win over UCF's Jantje Tilbuerger. Valletta's hot streak ended in the semifinal round where she fell to Baylor's Na Dong 1-6, 0-6.Â
In the Blue Draw backdraw, Hayley Roberts picked up an impressive 6-0, 6-1 win over Cincinnati's Caterina Greco.Â
The Utes were able to pick up a win in doubles as Valletta and Andjelija Markovic picked up a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 win over Cincinnati's Anastasija Arsic and Tara Kurepa.Â
