SALT LAKE CITY – The No. 22 Utah cross country team heads to Columbia, Mo., for its first big test of the season as it competes in the Gans Creek Classic on Friday, Sept. 26. The race in its entirety at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, site of this year's NCAA Championships, will air on SEC Network+ and simultaneously streamed online as well as on the ESPN App.

Emily Junginger will be making her collegiate debut while transfer
Rebecca O'Keefe competes for the first time as a Ute.
Madi Hulsey, who transferred to Utah last season at the semester, will also be making her Ute debut in cross country.
Additionally,
Kyla Martin will be running her first cross country race since 2023 after redshirting last cross country season. Meanwhile,
Millie Wilcox will be racing in her first 5k race this Friday after making her cross country debut in a 3-mile race at the UVU Invitational.
STACKED HOUSE
The Utes will get a championship race feel on Friday, Sept. 26, when they toe the line 31 other teams at the Gans Creek Classic. Of the 31 teams participating, 11 of those teams are ranked in the USTFCCCA Top-30.
SNEAK PEEK
Utah will get its first opportunity to run on the NCAA Championships course this Friday, Sept. 26, when it competes at the Gans Creek Classic with Missouri playing host for this year's championships at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.
NCAA REGIONALS RETURN TO SLC
The NCAA Mountain Regionals, which is considered the toughest region in the country returns to Salt Lake City this year and hosted by the University of Utah at the Regional Athletic Complex. The meet is scheduled to take place on Friday, Nov. 14. The last time Utah hosted the mountain regionals was back in 2019 when it was hosted at Rose Park Golf Course. More details to come.

Utah will get a few weeks of rest before its next big meet at the Nuttycombe Invitational on Friday, Oct. 17. The Utes finished second last season as a team and was led by
Erin Vringer, who recorded a sixth-place finish in 20:14.2.
