Utah Volleyball kept three sets close but couldn’t come up with the win
SALT LAKE CITY – In a matchup of two Top 25 ranked teams, Utah Volleyball dropped a tough three set match against the No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies (25-19, 25-23, 25-18).
The No.21 Utes entered Thursday's match with a perfect 3-0 record after sweeping the Utah Classic over the weekend and were looking to notch their second Top 25 win of the season.
Junior outside hitter Kamryn Gibadlo led the Utes with 12 blocks and 10 digs on the night. Sophomore setter Isabelle Marco led the Utes with 27 assists and senior middle blocker Emrie Moea'i recorded five blocks against the Aggies.

SET ONE
Utah and Texas A&M fought back and forth in the first set. After the Aggies jumped out to a quick 9-3 lead, the Utes battled back. Trailing 17-12, the Utes rattled off three straight points with Gibadlo's fourth kill of the set leading to an Aggies' timeout. Unfortunately, despite the effort, the Utes could not complete the comeback as the Aggies won the set.
SET TWO
A thrilling second set consisted of eight different ties, started off with a Utah point after the Aggies had an attack error following a Levani Key-Powell serve. Texas A&M took off from there to a 10-4lead. However, the Utes would not back down as they would come back to tie the set at 15 following an Aggies attack error. The Utes would retake the set lead 17-16, before the Aggies finished with the advantage.
SET THREE
Gibadlo got the Utes on the board with a kill to tie the third set at one. The lead would go back and forth and was highlighted by a remarkable Gibadlo kill assisted by Neea-Maria Joki to give the Utes an 8-7 lead. The Aggies would go up by as much as six through the set, but a late Utah rally cut the Aggies lead to two. Utah's comeback wasn't enough and the Utes would drop the final set.

• Marco led the Utes with 27 assists on the night and a .667% hitting percentage.
