SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah swim and dive program will begin postseason competition next week when it travels to Greensboro, N.C., for the Big 12 Championships presented by Allstate. The championships will run from Feb. 24-Feb. 28 inside the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Utah made its Big 12 Championships debut a season ago, claiming 10 top-three finishes in A-finals: one gold, four silver and four bronze medals.
- Nick Chirafisi, Jakub Walter, Jones Lambert and Evan VanBrocklin combined to break the 800 Free Relay record that had stood since 2014, touching in 6:18.04 to take bronze.
- VanBrocklin also shattered the 100 Fly record with a 45.98 in A-finals.
- Durgan McKean set the program record in the 200 IM, clocking a 1:44.33 to take bronze.
- Lambert won silver in the 500 Free with the second-fastest time in program history, a 4:15.47.
- Elias Petersen took silver on 1-meter and bronze on 3-meter.
- Utah's women's diving team won silver in the team event, led by Callie Eaglestone and Kathryn Grant.
- Eaglestone was named the Freshman Diver of the Meet after finishing in the top five in A-finals on all three boards.

Since joining the Big 12 prior to last season, Utah has claimed 21 weekly awards, 14 of which have come from divers. Petersen leads all Utes with six weekly awards, all Diver of the Week nods, and was recognized as the conference's Diver of the Year a season ago.
