FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Utah track & field team saw
Chelsea Amoah advanced to the quarterfinals on Thursday evening while a pair of her teammates also competed in the 200m and 10000m races in the NCAA First Round at John McDonnell Field.

Lindsey Peters got the day going for Utah in the 1500m run as the senior kept pace with the pack the whole time before things started to pick up with 400m to go. Peters gave a valiant effort down the final stretch but just missed out on an automatic qualifying spot with a run of 4:22.48 to wrap up her collegiate career.

In the 200m dash, Amoah saw herself move onto the quarterfinals after earning an automatic qualifier thanks to a third-place finish in her heat behind a time of 23.04.

Annastasia Peters closed things out for the Women of Utah on Thursday, placing 29th-overall in the 10k with a time of 34:14.91. The Post Falls, Idaho, product did her best to stay with the main pack but wasn't able to break away and move up to earn a spot at Hayward Field.

Mackenzie Rogers (4:40 p.m.),
Sona Kourilova (4:40 p.m.) and the 4x100m relay team (4 p.m.) as they compete on Saturday, May 30, in the final day of competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field First Round in Fayetteville, Ark.
