Jimenez, Palacios featured in first top 25 ranking
SALT LAKE CITY— Utah Golf stars Sergio Jimenez and Gabriel Palacios earned spots in the first top 25 ranking for the PGA Tour University Class of 2027.
Jimenez comes in at No. 21 while Gabriel Palacios notched his place at No. 25. Both seniors are expected to be big factors for the Utes during their 2026-27 season, which opens on Monday, Sep. 14 at the Jackson Stephens Cup in Frisco, Texas.
The PGA Tour University is heading into its seventh season of existence and tracks the top 25 seniors in collegiate golf throughout the season with rankings updated every Wednesday.
The final top 25 players will be determined after stroke play concludes at the NCAA Championship and will earn membership on either the PGA Tour (No. 1), Korn Ferry Tour (No. 2-10), or PGA Tour Americas (No. 11-25).
