He received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science and his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology through the University of Utah. Cody also serves as the National Strength and Conditioning Associations Utah State Director.
As a Sports Performance Coach, Cody has three primary objectives: 1). to reduce the occurrence of athletic related injuries, 2). improve athletic qualities, and 3). to develop physically/mentally resilient athletes. He strives to do this through a process of teaching proper training technique, improvement of movement competency, progression of exercise complexity/intensity/volume, addressing common trends in sports specific injuries, and a collaborative approach to sport performance. As a Coach, Cody believes it is his responsibility to not only enhance athletic performance but to provide an environment in which student athletes can grow as people, as well as athletes.
