Dr. Jonathan Ravarino Dr. Jonathan Ravarino joined Utah Athletics in 2015 as the Director of Psychology and Wellness. After completing his graduate work at the University of Utah, Jonathan worked in three college counseling centers; Duke University (2007-2008), University of North Carolina - Greensboro (2008-2010), and the University of Utah's Counseling Center (2010-2015). While at the UCC, Jonathan started the Mindfulness Clinic, which continues to assist students in learning meditation to help in managing mental health concerns. Jonathan is an avid ultra-racer / triathlete and successfully completed the 2015 Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI. Jonathan and his wife/partner, Harmonie, have 2 children. Sonia Johnson, LCMHC Sonia recently joined Utah Athletics after working at the University Counseling Center as a Mental Health Counselor. Prior to working at the University, Sonia attended Boston University where she received a Master’s in Education in Counseling Psychology with a Sport Psychology concentration. Sonia has extensive experience in college athletics having attended DePaul University where she was a student-athlete on the Women’s Soccer team as well as working as a sport psychology intern at multiple universities in the Boston area. Dr. Nick Galli, ACMHC Dr. Nick Galli is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor and works specifically with the Utah Volleyball program as he is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Kinesiology. He is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, and has supported a variety of athletes and teams in this capacity. Since 2016 he has consulted with U.S. Speedskating National Team programs. Nick lives in South Jordan with his wife, their son and daughter, a Miniature Schnauzer, and two cats. Outside of work and school he enjoys reading, playing fantasy sports, going on walks and jogs with his dog, listening to true crime podcasts, and watching Disney+ with his family.
