Offense
- Quarterback Isaac Wilson hit wide receiver Daidren Zipperer on a 46-yard completion on Utah's very first play of the game. It was a career-long reception for Zipperer, and the longest game-opening play by the Utes since a 70-yard touchdown pass in the 2023 season opener vs. Florida (Bryson Barnes to Money Parks).
- Wide receiver Dorian Singer eclipsed 50 receptions for the season. His career-high is 66 during the 2022 season, when Singer played at Arizona.
- Wilson surpassed his previous career-high completions to begin a game (was 7 vs. Arizona).
- Coming on in relief of Wilson in the second half, Luke Bottari ripped off a career-long 40-yard keeper to put the Utes in the red-zone.
Defense
- Utah forced a three-and-out on Iowa State's game-opening drive; it's the 10th time this season and sixth game in a row that Utah's opponent has been held scoreless on thier game-opening drive.
- Defensive end Connor O'Toole eclipsed 100 tackles and 15 TFL for his career.
- Defensive tackle Junior Tafuna made two PBU's in the first quarter; previously Tafuna hadn't had a game with multiple breakups. He now has a career-high three passes defended for the season (1 INT, 2 PBU).
- Cornerback Zemaiah Vaughn made his 30th consecutive start.
- Playing in his third game of the season, defensive tackle Aliki Vimahi contributed his first TFL of the 2024 campaign.
- Linebacker Lander Barton made an 87-yard pick-six during the second quarter; it extends Utah's FBS-leading active streak to 21 consecutive seasons with a pick-six. It is the longest streak in recorded NCAA history. It is also Barton's second career pick-six (vs. Weber State in 2023).
- The 87-yard return by Barton was the longest by a Utah linebacker in history, longest by a Ute since 2018 (Jaylon Johnson, 100 vs. Stanford) and ninth-longest in Utah history.
- Defensive end Logan Fano now has three straight games with at least 1.0 TFL. Fano also passed his career-best TFL for a season (previously 4.0 in 2023).
- Vimahi tied his career-high tackles (four vs. Oregon State in 2022) and also had a new career-best TFL.
- Cornerback Cameron Calhoun earned his first multi-PBU game.
- Linebacker Johnathan Hall has a TFL in back-to-back games.
Special Teams
- Cole Becker closed out Utah's opening drive of the game with a 34-yard field goal; it was his 16th of the season which is a new season-high for Becker.
- On a muffed punt in the second quarter, long snapper JT Greep came up with a fumble recovery. It was Greep's second career fumble recovery; the other came at Washington State in 2022.
- Becker now has five games this season with multiple field goals made.
- Punter Jack Bouwmeester has dropped multiple punts inside the 20-yard line in five straight games, the longest streak of his career. Altogether this season, he has done so in eight games, a season-high.
