"I chose the University of Utah because I love Salt Lake City. The close access to mountains reminds me of my hometown of Anchorage. In addition, the program and training opportunities are the best in the world. Last, I know many of the members of the ski team and I love the culture and wanted to be a part of it."
Prior to Utah
- Member of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation program as well as the Alyeska Ski Club.
- 2023 U.S. Ski Team Rookie of the Year.
- Skied to seven podiums during the 2022 and '23 seasons (4 GS, 2 SL, 1 SG).
- Qualified for the 2023 FIS Junior World Ski Championships, placing 29th in downhill and 13th in super G.
- Made 16 starts on the Nor-Am Cup circuit since his debut in 2022, placing 12th in a December 2022 super G race at Copper Mountain.
Personal
- Parents are Shannon and Kevin.
- One sibling, Quincy, who skied at Harvard.
- Mother was an alpine skier at New Mexico.
- Competed in two seasons of cross-country skiing during high school.
- Is an avid mountain biker.
- Also enjoys golf and spending time with family and friends.
