2018: Five top-10 finishes … season-best sixth-place finish in the sprint freestyle at U.S. Nationals … seventh in the 5-km classic at the New Mexico Invite … eighth in the 10-km classic at the Utah Invite and the RMISA Championship.
 
2017: Season-best fourth-place finish in the sprint freestyle at the Seawolf Invite … two top-15 finishes … competed at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, finishing 23rd in the men's sprint qualifier and 27th overall following the sprint heats, and 53rd in the skiathlon … USCSCA National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team … Utah won the NCAA Championship.
 
Prior to Utah: 2016 U20 Junior National Champion in the men's freestyle sprint and finished second in the 10-km classic … third in the junior sprint heats at the 2016 U.S. National Championships … USSA 2016 Dave Quinn Award, given to outstanding cross country skier at the Junior Olympics based on results and sportsmanship … won 2015 U18 Junior National title in the 10-km classic mass start … skied five years at Junior Nationals … skis with the Bridger Ski Foundation … valedictorian at Bozeman HS.
 
Personal: Son of Alex and Lisa Diekmann … father Alex swam at Yale, earning the William Leeming Jelliffe Award in 1985 as the senior who has shown the greatest progress in swimming ability and outstanding leadership … brother Liam also skis … majoring in mechanical engineering.
