Tallied 9.04 strikeouts per nine innings, the second-most of any Utah pitcher to throw 100-plus innings since 1996.
Including his 12 saves, was on the mound to finish 57 games.
2023 – Redshirt Senior
Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention
Made 28 relief appearances, finishing 1-1 with three saves and a 4.46 ERA during 38.1 innings of work.
Ranked fourth on the team with 48 strikeouts and allowed just 12 walks, holding opposing hitters to a .248 batting average.
Pitched in all three games of the Washington State sweep (April 28-30), walking none while striking out six against just two hits in three combined innings.
Shut the door in the series finale with the Cougars (April 30), striking out both batters on three pitches to seal the sweep—an incredible way to mark his 100th career appearance.
Totaled 4.1 shutout innings over the final two games at No. 23 UCLA (April 7-8), keeping Utah right in both games during extra frames.
Struck out five in a two-inning outing at Washington (March 12), as part of a combined shutout.
Retired all 12 batters he faced and struck out a season-high five against Cal Poly (May 13).
2022 – Redshirt Junior
Made a team-leading 28 appearances on the mound, all in relief and half coming in Pac-12 play.
Finished with a 2-2 record, four saves and a 4.75 ERA during 36 innings pitched.
Struck out 36 and walked just 18 batters on the year.
His .241 batting average against was the top clip on the team.
Went 18.2 innings without allowing an earned run during April and early May.
Longest appearance of the year was 3.2 innings in the rubber game save vs. No. 20 Arizona (April 16).
Picked up the Sunday save vs. No. 15 UCLA (April 10), tossing the final two innings and recording three strikeouts against just one hit.
Closed out the last two innings in the series-opening win vs. No. 2 Oregon State (April 29).
Pitched in all three games vs. Arizona (April 14-16), dealing a total of 5.2 shutout innings with six strikeouts, three walks and two hits.
2021 – Redshirt Sophomore
Pitched in 15 games on the season with 14 appearances coming out of the bullpen.
Finished with no win-loss record, a 3.45 ERA and 18 strikeouts.
Struck out three in the game at Arizona (March 15) during which McCleve pitched 2.2 innings.
Went four innings and struck out three more while allowing three hits at Oregon State (April 6).
2020 – Sophomore
Made appearances in six games.
Struck out three batters.
Longest outing was 1.1 innings at Saint Mary’s (Feb. 17).
2019 – Freshman
Led team with 30 appearances out of the bullpen.
Finished the season with five of the team’s seven saves.
Two of those saves came in the final Pac-12 series of the year against Washington State (May 16-17).
First career save came against BYU (April 2).
Set career high with 4.0 innings pitched against Oregon State (April 6).
Earned first career win out of bullpen against UNLV (Feb. 26).
Prior to Utah
First Team All-State and All-Region performer under head coach Bob Fratto at Cyprus High School.
Named MVP of Region 4.
Pitched a 13 strikeout no hitter.
Senior season finished with an 8-2 record with 72 strikeouts in 58 2/3 innings pitched.
Held opponents to a .222 batting average.
Named Under Armour Preseason All-American heading into senior season.
