Landon Smith begins his first season as the director of administration and operations with the Utah men’s basketball season after joining the program in September of 2024.
Smith joins the Runnin’ Utes with familiarity to the program having worked the Utah Men’s Basketball Camps the last two summers (2023-24) where he managed the logistical operations to ensure the camps ran smoothly on a day-to-day basis while working directly with several units.
He was also an integral staff member with Formula Zero, an elite skills camp created by Damian Lillard and Phil Beckner for top high school, college and NBA players across the country during the summers of 2023 and 2024. He also served as the camp’s liaison to NBA scouts, regional and national media members, coaches and athletes.
Smith recently graduated from Utah State with a degree in math education with a minor in physical education/coaching in the Spring of 2024. He eldest son of Utah head coach Craig Smith. His younger brother, Brady, is also a sophomore walk-on with the Runnin’ Utes.
