Maya Duckworth is in her first season with the Utes as their Technical Coordinator after spending four seasons with Iowa State as an All-Region and All-Conference outside hitter for the Cyclones.

In her new role at Utah, the Hurst, Texas native will be responsible for technology management both in-match and in training settings for the team as well as VolleyStation in-match, practice coding, data/statistics management, and spreadsheet monitoring. Duckworth will oversee opponent scouting and statistical spreadsheets, the volleyball team mangers, and will serve as the Assistant Camp Director. She will also assist with the recruiting database, practice planning, and player/personnel engagement.

At Iowa State, Duckworth ended her career with 1,073 kills which ranks 10th highest in program history and became the 12th Cyclone to reach the 1,000-kill club. She was an AVCA All-Midwest Region First Team selection in 2022, the 2022 AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year, and was an All-Big 12 Second Team selection in 2022.

Duckworth was also an accomplished student, earning Academic All-Big 12 First Team from 2023-25, made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (fall semester 2022-24) and made the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team in 2022-23 before earning her degree in Event Management.

Before entering college, Duckworth played club volleyball at Madfrog and was a two-sport athlete (volleyball and basketball) at Birdville High School. She was a four-year letter winner a two-time team captain, and three-time all-district and all-state honoree. Additionally, Duckworth was a MaxPreps Freshman All-American, the All-District Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore and district MVP as a junior.
