SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Utah will try to extend its school record 20-game winning streak when the Utes meet Tulsa in Friday's WAC conference semifinal game.
Andre Miller scored 19 points as No. 8 Utah (25-4) beat Brigham Young 81-62 in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Utah, which last lost Dec. 12 at Texas, has the nation's third-longest winning streak behind No. 1 Duke and the College of Charleston.
The Utes stormed through the WAC this season, winning all 14 regular-season conference games but have something to prove in the conference tournament.
Last season, the then-No. 3 Utes were eliminated in their first game by UNLV.
"Last year is still vivid in our memories," said Utah forward Hanno Mottola, who added 14 points in the win. "Coach told us to pack for one day so I think we came in better prepared this time."
Tulsa is coming off a 85-56 trouncing of South Florida on Thursday, as Eric Coley scored a career high 22 points in the game.
The Golden Hurricane held the Bulldogs to only four points over the last 11 minutes of the game, and forced the team to shoot only 37 percent from the floor.
Marcus Hill had 18 points for Tulsa, while Greg Harrington and Tony Heard added 10 apiece.
