The University of Utah gymnasts compiled a team grade point average of 3.72 in the fall semester, the best GPA by a Utah team for the third straight year. Eleven of the 13 gymnasts had above a 3.60 GPA and four (Theresa Kulikowski, Angelika Schatton, Ashley Kever and Erin Prewitt) had perfect 4.00 GPAs. Ten Ute gymnasts made the Dean's list and 12 were on the Athletic Director's honor roll. The gymnastics team was fourth in the nation among all gymnastics teams with a 3.56 team GPA in 1998-99.
