Quoting Head Coach Rich Manning:
"I was real happy with our effort today. We were first to the ball. We've been having trouble with that in some of the games. So I was real happy with our effort. I think they (UNLV) with their game on Thursday had a lot taken out of them. From the middle of the first half on they looked real tired."
"I think as the game wore on we got sharper. Our runs and our reads, especially on the passes, were better. I was real happy with that."
"They had only two shots, which is great for us. If they can't shoot, they're not going to score. The team defense from day one has been our strength.
