Friday's loss at Michigan dropped the Utah gymnasts from No. 2 to No. 4 in the national rankings, marking the first time Utah has been ranked lower than second since Jan. 14. Ahead of the Utes this week are Georgia, Alabama and Michigan. Utah fared better than this Friday's foe, Brigham Young, which dropped out of the rankings after checking in at No. 13 last week.
This week's top 10: 1. Georgia 196.925, 2. Alabama 196.620, 3. Michigan 196.520, 4. Utah 196.395, 5. Nebraska 196.260, 6. UCLA 195.975, 7. Oklahoma 195.875, 8. Stanford 195.865, 9. Minnesota 195.715, 10. LSU 195.465.
Utah remained the No. 1 balance beam team in the country with a 49.310 regional qualifying score and Theresa Kulkowski (9.945 RQS) is the top-ranked individual. Shannon Bowles is fourth (9.905) and Melissa Vituj is No. 12 (9.860). Vituj is also ranked No. 9 on floor exercise (9.910) and Kulikowski is No. 11 (9.905).
