Utah Soccer Team Earns Academic Honor

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah women's soccer has earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2002-03 season. This is the seventh consecutive year the Utes have won the award.
The Utes posted a 3.24 team grade point average to capture the award, presented to teams with GPAs of 3.00 or higher. Utah was ranked 14th in the final NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll, its highest ranking ever. The Utes went 16-2-2 in their second year under Rich Manning, winning both the Mountain West Conference regular season and tournament titles for the first time in school history.
