Utah bar notes: Kristen Riffanacht looked smooth and hit her handstands and dismount.OK, Dominque D'Oliveira probably would have gotten a 10.0 if she hadn'tbeen the second competitor up. Wow what a routine.Annabeth Eberle had a HUGE release move, about five feet in the air, andabsolutely nailed her handstands and dismount.Melissa Vituj did a nice job but was probably was deducted forbeing a little short on one handstand.Veronique Leclerc turned in one of her two best routines of theyear according to this "expert." The only thing I saw was a smallstep on her landing.Kim Allan was just unbelievable. She was so high and clean itwas amazing. I didn't see one thing wrong.
BEAM BEAMLisa Willis 9.650 Gritt Hofmann 9.475Meghan Donahue 9.775 Natalie Nicoloff 9.750Kirsten Pauga 9.850 Kylee Wagner 9.425Lindsay Butterfield 9.800 Kim Allan 9.800Jaime Mabray 9.225 Annabeth Eberle 9.875Trisha Ashton 9.175 Melissa Vituj 9.900BB: 48.300; Running: 146.575 BB:48.800; Running: 197.400
Utah beam notes: Gritt Hofmann fell onto the beam coming on her flight series aerial (not sure if that's the right name, but you get what I mean. The restof her routine was very nice.Natalie Nicoloff impressed the judges by somehow staying on thebeam on two different occasions.Kylee Wagner had just a sensational routine going untilshe fell on the little one handed back walkover.Kim Allan gritted her teeth and struggled through her routinewith just a few bobbles.Annabeth Eberle showed her first little bobbles of the night on a beamthat's creating all kinds of problems for Utah. None were big or too scary.Melissa Vituj absolutely dominated the beam. I thought her routinewas head and shoulders the best of the night for both teams; notjust barely.
FLOOR FLOORLisa Willis 9.875 Veronique Leclerc 9.875Kirsten Pauga 9.850 Kylee Wagner 9.850Lindsay Butterfield 9.875 Kristen Riffanacht 9.900Candace Slater 9.900 Gritt Hofmann 9.850Jaime Mabray 9.950 Annabeth Eberle 10.00!!!!Brogan Jacobsen 9.775 Melissa Vituj 9.975FX: 49.450; Running: 196.025 FX: 49.600; Running: 148.600
Utah floor notes: Veronique Leclerc had a great second pass and finishedup strong. She had a little hop coming out of her pike double back.Kylee Wagner had a new first pass, great tumbling throughout. The stepout was overruled.Kristen Riffanacht hit all of her big tumbling in one of herbetter floor routines.Gritt Hofmann had a great routine, saving her second double back withjust a little stumble.Annabeth Eberle absolutely was perfect and the judges agreed. So did the entire crowd, even the BYU fans. What a routine. AB Rules!Melissa Vituj switched her routine around to end with anE, and she was right on. Her leaps looked like Shannon Bowles reincarnated.
