The only thing I could seeat all was she was maybe a little lowon her landing.Veronique was on top of her game on thisvault. If she hadn't taken a little step on herlanding, I think Nicolle Ford would havereceived a 10.0 on her vault. It had greatamplitude and she was perfectly aligned.Rachel Tidd's vault was nothing shortof amazing. Her tiny deduction was impossiblefor me to see.Melissa Vituj was great in the air. Sheworked to stick her landing and pulledit off nicely.Annabeth scores a perfect 10.0! Nothingelse need be said.
BARS BARSKristen Maloney 9.675 Dominique D'Oliveira 9.800Holly Murdock 9.700 Rachel Tidd 9.775Lori Winn 9.850 Melissa Vituj 9.125Kate Richardson 9.925 Annabeth Eberle 9.800Jeanette Antolin 9.950 Veronique Leclerc 9.875Yvonne Tousek 9.050 Nicolle Ford 9.875UB: 49.100; Running: 97.500 UB: 49.125; Running: 49.125Utah bar notes:Dominique and Rachel both had exceptional routines. They swung the bars well, handstands were straight upand dismounts stuck. Dom, especially, had a great dismount.Mel had a fall early in her routine. I missed itbecause I was getting a score.Annabeth Eberle was phenomenal. Her Tkatchev wasas high in the air as I've ever seen. One slightleg split on a handstand was the only little error Isaw. I was surprised she didn't score at least a 9.90.Veronique flew through her routine without any problemsbefore taking a small step on her dismount.Nicolle Ford ignored a spontaneous crowd outburstwhen a 10.0 was flashed for Jeanette Antolin afterher vault and looked fantastic. Her double layoutdismount was a beauty.Stephanie Lim had a nice routine going in exhibitionbefore falling near the end.
BEAM BEAMHolly Murdock 9.750 Natalie Nicoloff 9.800Lori Winn 9.900 Rachel Tidd 9.850Kristen Maloney 9.875 Gritt Hofmann 9.850Jeanette Antolin 9.925 Nicolle Ford 9.400Kate Richardson 10.00 Annabeth Eberle 9.825Yvonne Tousek 9.825 Melissa Vituj 9.950BB: 49.525; Running: 147.025 BB: 49.275; Running: 197.350Utah beam notes:Natalie Nicoloff showed why she is oneof the best lead-off performers in the nation. She likely would have scored better later inthe lineup.Rachel Tidd showed why she is world class on thebeam. She had just a couple of small bobbles ona very difficult and cool routine.Gritty was very gritty on this one. She hadthe crowd ooh-ing and ah-ing on her moves, but she did a nice job staying on after herflick flack lay.Nicolle Ford had a beauty going and lookedgreat from my angle on her flick flack layout, layout, but she took a tumble after thesecond layout.Annabeth Eberle had an unexplainable slip butstayed on. For those of you who rememberShannon Bowle's mysterious slip a few years ago, this was a repeat. The rest of her routinewas marvelous.Do you know that Mel lives to be in theposition she was in-on the beam with a chanceto clinch the win? She was sooo smooth andeven blew a kiss.
FLOOR FLOORChristie Tedmon 9.275 Kristen Riffanacht 9.800Lori Winn 9.900 Rachel Tidd 9.500Courtney Walker 9.650 Nicolle Ford 9.875Yvonne Tousek 9.875 Gritt Hofmann 9.900Kate Richardson 9.950 Annabeth Eberle 9.875Jeanette Antolin Melissa Vituj 9.875FX:; Running: FX:49.325; Running: 148.075Utah floor notesRiffy started things off on floor with a greatroutine. She nailed her double layout on thefirst pass and hit a tuck double back onthe third pass.Rachel Tidd had troubles slipping on the mat.She slipped three times--one time all theway out of bounds.Nicolle Ford's routine was amazing. Getready Salt Lake fans for next Friday becauseyou are going to love her.Can Gritt hit? Yes! Beautiful routine. Sheabsolutely stuck her pike double back andtuck double back and her dance had thecrowd going.I honestly thought that A.B. would receivea much higher score. Her routine waspowerful and clean.Mel unveiled her new floor routineand it is as good or better than ever. Shehit all of her moves and won the smilecontest.
