She hadplenty of room off the vault and just aslight step on the landing.Veronique Leclerc just shot off the horse. Shewas a little low and had a tiny step on her landing.Otherwise a nice vault. No problems for Queenie on vault. Nicolle Fordhad a beauty. Great in flight, perfect landing.Melissa Vituj fell to her knees on her landing.Rachel Tidd looked great in the air but fellon her landing--repeat of Mel.Annabeth Eberle had a great vault. Leanedever so slightly forward on her landing, butno steps, no balance checks, no big lean. Greatvault.
BARS BARSChelsea Kroll 9.075 Dominique D'Oliveira 9.850Calli Ryals 9.925 Melissa Vituj 9.850Elise Ray 9.900 Veronique Leclerc 9.900Jenny Deiley 9.700 Annabeth Eberle 9.850Lauren Mirkovich 9.850 Rachel Tidd 9.900Kara Rosella 9.725 Nicolle Ford 9.550UB: 49.100; Running: 98.375 UB: 49.350; Running: 49.350Utah bar notesDominique looked like she was almost floating through her routine. She stuck her double layout dismount nicely.Melissa Vituj had her best routine this year in myopinion. She totally nailed her big time dismount.Veronique Leclerc was right on. She stood all of herhandstands perfectly and really flew through the routine. You can't get a better stick on a dismount than she had.Annabeth Eberle had a nice routine, coming just a littleshort on one handstand and coming a big close to thebar on her big Tkatchev. Otherwise, great!Rachel Tidd had a great routine, no real deductions andgreat stick on the dismount.I couldn't tell what the judges counted Nicole Forddown for so much on her routine. She had problems throughout, coming close to the bar and not as tight as she normallyis, but I don't know where the big deduction came from.
BEAM BEAMKara Rosella 9.775 Natalie Nicoloff 9.825Becca Clauson 9.800 Veronique Leclerc 9.075Lindsey Bruck 9.825 Gabriella Onodi 9.850Calli Ryals 9.750 Rachel Tidd 9.225Elise Ray 9.625 Nicolle Ford 9.900Jenny Deiley 9.800 Melissa Vituj 9.875BB:48.950; Running: 147.325 BB:48.675; Running: 196.350Utah beam notesNatalie Nicoloff led off with a very steady routine. In her first beam routine of the year, VeroniqueLeclerc started beautifully, hitting her seriesgreat and looking in charge before going under thebeam when she dropped down on it midway through theevent. She couldn't quite pull herself up and hadto put her feet on the ground.Gabriella Onodi did a great job throughout, especiallyat the end, when it looked like she didn't have herfoot placed properly for takeoff on her dismount, butshe handled it anyway. Very impressive.Rachel Tidd looked a little off balance before startingher series and fell on the layout.Nicolle Ford was phenomenal. She had the tiniest of tinybalance checks on one move. That's all. I don't knowwhere the tenth off came.Melissa Vituj was nothing short of perfect on the beam.I guess she really got hit for a hop on her dismount.
FLOOR FLOORCarol McNamara 9.800 Kristen Riffanacht 9.800Christine Mantilia 9.800 Natalie Nicoloff 9.800Becca Clauson 9.875 Dominique D'Oliveira 9.325Lindsey Bruck 9.875 Rachel Tidd 9.900Elise Ray 9.925 Nicolle Ford 9.925Calli Ryals 9.925 Melissa Vituj 9.950FX: 49.400; Running: 196.725 FX: 49.375; Running: 147.675Utah floor notesRiffy was really on tonight. For the second straightweek she really sold her routine. Tumbling and leapswere both great. I thought she was underscored.Natalie Nicoloff replaced Annabeth Eberle in the floorlineup and did a really nice job for her first floorroutine of the year. A.B. has ice on her ankle soshe must have re-injured it.Dom must have fallen on her last pass. I was tryingto get a score and missed it.Rachel Tidd was marvelous on the floor. Her tumbling, dance, everything was awesome. She received a career-highand could have scored even better with that routine!Note: Annabeth Eberle is out for the final event aswell. Stephanie Lim, scheduled to compete last, pulledout because she has a bad cold and is too congested tosafely do her routine.Nicolle Ford responded to her drop in the lineupwith a big time routine. Like Tidd, she really hiteverything in her set, setting the table for ...Melissa Vituj, who got her big fan base cheeringwith her best floor routine of the year.
