SEATTLE -
Well, we are on our way to our last away meet of the season. I mean, literally. Our plane is leaving the ground as I am writing (yeah, I kind of forgot to do my entry earlier)! The season has gone by so fast. Only three meets are left before regionals. I'm telling you, each year has gone flying by. It seems like it was only yesterday that I first came running out of the tunnel in the Huntsman Center in front of 10,000 screaming fans. Boy was I nervous. Four years later and I haven't tripped yet (so Jacey, you can do it too)!
Of course, home meets have always been my favorite, especially when we get one of the best scores in school history like we did last weekend. We were going to save that for nationals, but we know we can do even better. I would be lying if I told you that getting my first 10.0 wasn't exciting. Even with that 10.0 score aside, that floor routine was the most fun minute and a half I've ever had in a meet.
But we also have some good times on the road. Like right now Riffy looks so adorable sleeping on the plane with her mouth wide open and her eyes halfway shut. An angel ... Also, this weekend, no one is allowed to come back without a shopping bag-Megan's rule! I bet A.B. is particularly excited about this trip since she gets to compete for the first time in three weeks. She can tell you more about it next week in her entry.
To wrap this up, after a great performance last week, we are excited for the remainder of the season and especially for regionals and nationals, which are coming up pretty fast by the way. We'll miss all of our fans this weekend but will be back home for the next one, so make sure to be there.
Go Utes!
