Two of the top gymnastics teams in the nation will square off this Friday, Jan. 28 in the Huntsman Center, where No. 2 ranked Utah (3-0) will play host to No. 3 Michigan (5-0) ... The University Park Marriott Classic will begin at 7:00 p.m. ... After two weeks at No. 1, Utah is now No. 2 in the national rankings behind UCLA. The new rankings are based on average score for the first time of the season. Utah beat UCLA in the season opener on Jan. 7 ... Utah is 1-0 at home and 2-0 on the road ... MEET SPOTLIGHT
Fans at Friday's meet will see the nation's top two uneven bars competitors in Utah's Rachel Tidd (ranked No. 1) and Michigan's Elise Ray (No. 2). Tidd has won bars in both meets she's competed in this season, while Ray is the defending NCAA Champion and has won six straight competitions dating back to last season.

Members of the military who present a military I.D. will receive $2 admission tickets for themselves and their guests to Utah's meet with Michigan this Friday. People who attended the production Cirque Eloize Rain will receive one free general admission ticket with the purchase of another G.A. ticket to the meet. They must have a ticket stub from Cirque Eloize Rain.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
For the first time of the season, the rankings have switched to total season average as the determining factor. The Jan. 24 rankings follow: 1. UCLA 196.500, 2. Utah 196.433, 3. Michigan 196.000, 4. UTES IN THE RANKINGS
Ute freshman Ashley Postell is ranked No. 2 in the nation in the all-around this week with a 39.537 average. Tied for 13th is senior Annabeth Eberle (39.158) and sophomore Nicolle Ford (39.158). Utah is the top-rated beam team in the nation this week with a 49.117 average. Postell and Ford are tied for third on the beam with a 9.90 average. Utah is No. 2 on vault (49.183), with Postell (9.892) and sophomore Rachel Tidd (9.887) ranked No. 7-8. Tidd's 9.925 average on the uneven bars is the best in the nation. Utah is No. 3 on the event (49.133). Utah ranks No. 6 on the floor exercise (49.000), with Postell its leader at No. 4 (9.912 average).
