She got some nice amplitude. She had a half step back on her landing.Nicolle Ford had no amplitude and landed short. Ourproblem tonight seems to be a lack of zip.Cancel that ... Ashley Postell's vault was a beauty. Shehad huge amplitude and stuck it perfectly. Her formwas great. I liked the 9.95 from the one judge.Annabeth Eberle followed Ashley with perhaps her bestvault of the season. No mistakes that I could see. Shehad to work to keep from stepping out of her landing, but she succeeded and didn't move.
BARS BARSEmily Parsons 9.725 Katie Kivisto 9.825Michele Zabawa 9.850 Kristen Riffanacht 9.275Richelle Simpson 9.800 Annabeth Eberle 9.775Brittney Williams 9.775 Ashley Postell 9.825Kristi Esposito 9.800 Nicolle Ford 9.850Desire Sniatynski 9.775 Rachel Tidd 9.825UB: 49.000; Running: 98.225 UB: 49.100; Running: 49.100Utah bar notes:Katie Kivisto started things off really well. No errors that I could see. Good handstands.Kristen Riffanacth's routine didn't start at a 10.0 I don't think. She didn't fall, but she had problems going onto the low bar and herfoot might have hit the ground.Annabeth Eberle hit all of her elements just finebut she was a little slow on the top bar near the end of her routine.Ashley Postell cruised through her routine, straight legs, goodrelease moves. She had a step back on her landing.Nicolle Ford had a really nice routine. I can't tell you where the deductions came on this one. They weren't obvious enouugh.I missed the first half of Rachel Tidd's routine because I'msome trouble getting scores. She looked great on the last halfand stuck her landing.
BEAM BEAMStephanie Carter 9.675 Gabriella Onodi 9.30Michele Zabawa 9.800 Kristen Riffanacht 9.850Emily Parsons 9.900 Rachel Tidd 9.825Jamie Saas 9.900 Nicolle Ford 9.850Richelle Simpson 9.900 Annabeth Eberle 9.775Kristi Esposito 9.200 Ashley Postell 9.950BB: 49.175; Running: 147.400 BB: 49.250; Running: 196.600Utah beam notes:Gabriella Onodi hit her mount and her series cleanly, butfell on a leap. Too bad because the rest of her routine wasvery good.Kristen Riffanacht had a little wobble on her mount butrecovered nicely. Her series was especially solid.Rachel Tidd was just off enough to create some potentialproblems and a wobble or two. But she hung on and hadnot mid-major mistakes and a nice stick on the landing.Nicolle Ford looked perfectly calm the entire way throughthis routine. She had the teeniest lean/step on landing.Annabeth Eberle had a perfect mount but then had two balancechecks and a step on her landing that cost her. With the Nebraska men's and women's teams both competing, not many people were watching Ashley Postell, which is toobad. She was incredible and received a 9.95 from both judges.
FLOOR FLOORKristi Esposito 9.800 Katie Kivisto 9.175Jamie Saas 9.775 Gabriella Onodi 9.750Stephanie Carter 9.850 Nicolle Ford 9.800Brittney Williams 9.750 Rachel Tidd 9.875Emily Parsons 9.925 Ashley Postell 9.900Richelle Simpson 9.900 Annabeth Eberle 9.850FX: 49.250; Running: 196.650 FX: 49.175; Running: 147.350Utah floor notes:Katie Kiviso had a huge long wait before the judges signaledher to start. I don't know if the delay affected her. Shedid fine until her last pass, when she landed short and couldn'tquite stay on her feet.Gabriella Onodi had a really nice routine. She seemed to hit allof her elements cleanly.Nicolle Ford sailed through this routine, hitting all of hertumbling and her dance was nice.I barely got tos ee any of Rachel's routine but what I sawwas really good. She had a lot of power and stuck everybig element except for a little skitter coming outof the third pass.Ashley Postell's floor routine was flawless to my"untrained" eye. She was absolutely right on with everything. No bent knees, no steps, big tumbling, beautiful dance.Annabeth Eberle was almost as good as Ashley. She maybe lostjust a little pop at the very end of her routine, but didn'tmake any errors of note.
