Ute Gymnasts Fare Well In The Classroom Fall Semester

SALT LAKE CITY -
The Utah gymnastics team compiled a 3.38 GPA for the fall semester and placed five members on the Dean's List with a 3.5 or better. Senior Dominique D'Oliveira earned a perfect 4.0. Also making the Dean's List were Kristina Baskett, Gritt Hofmann, Nina Kim and Beth Rizzo. Eleven gymnasts received a 3.0 or better to make the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.
Utah, which placed third at last April's NCAA Championships, had the best GPA of any of the teams that qualified to nationals and finished seventh among all gymnastics teams with a 3.4877. Eight members of that team were named Scholastic All-Americans and Rachel Tidd was selected to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic-America District VIII team.
