NCAA Gymnastics Championships Tickets
The NCAA office has announced the teams and individuals that qualified to compete at the 2007 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships in Salt Lake City on April 26-28. Teams making the championships field (regional score in parentheses) follow: Utah (197.325), Florida (197.325), Georgia (197.275), Alabama (196.700), Nebraska (196.675), Stanford (196.600), Oregon State (196.075), Michigan (196.050), UCLA (195.975), LSU (195.950), Oklahoma (195.925) and Denver (195.825).
The opening day of competition on Thursday, April 26, features two sessions consisting of six teams. At-large all-arounders and event specialists will also compete on Thursday, when the all-around winner and the individual event qualifiers are determined. The top three teams from each session on April 26 will advance to Friday's Super Six team finals. The meet concludes with individual event championships on Saturday, April 28.
The NCAA office conducted a draw to determine the session fields and rotation orders for the competition on April 26. Three No. 1 seeds (regional winners) and three No. 2 seeds (regional runners-up) were placed in each session. The preliminary sessions, with No. 1 seeds listed first are:
Session I, 1:00 p.m., April 26 Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Nebraska, Oregon State, Oklahoma
Session II, 7:00 p.m., April 26 Utah, Stanford, UCLA, Michigan, LSU, Denver
Individual all-around qualifiers for the 2007 women's gymnastics championships are as follows: Brandi Personett, Penn State; Janet Anson, Iowa State; Karin Wurm, Arizona; Adrianne Perry, Missouri; Julie Dwyer, Auburn; Brittney Morgan, Arizona; Rochelle Robinson, Michigan State; Janae Cox, West Virginia; Andrea Arlotta, Pittsburgh; Chelsea Bakken, Washington; Katie Burke, Iowa.
Individual event at-large qualifiers are: Jamie Holton, Arizona on beam; Kaylan Clevinger, Ohio State, on bars; and Alicia Sacramone, Brown, on floor.
