NCAA Gymnastics Championships Tickets.
The 2007 NCAA Gymnastics Championships get underway in the Jon M. Huntsman Center on the University of Utah campus on Thursday, April 26, when 12 teams vie for berths in the Super Six team finals. Tickets to the championships are still available at utahtickets.com.
The top three teams from each of Thursday's two sessions will advance to the Super Six Championship, held Friday, April 27. Thursday's competitions will also decide the field for Saturday's Individual Event Championships, as well as the all-around winner.
The competition begins on Thursday at 1 p.m., when Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Nebraska, Oregon State and Oklahoma battle for one of the three coveted positions in the Super Six. At 7 p.m., host Utah joins Stanford, UCLA, Michigan, LSU and Denver in a quest for the final three Super Six invitations.
Friday and Saturday's competitions both start at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center.
Several at large all-arounders and individual event specialists have also qualified for the NCAA Championships and have been assigned to rotate with teams on Thursday. All-arounders whose team did not qualify are: Brandi Personett, Penn State; Janet Anson, Iowa State; Karin Wurm, Arizona; Adrianne Perry, Missouri; Julie Dwyer, Auburn; Brittney Morgan, Arizona; Rochelle Robinson, Michigan State; Janae Cox, West Virginia; Andrea Arlotta, Pittsburgh; Chelsea Bakken, Washington; Katie Burke, Iowa. Individual event at-large qualifiers are: Jamie Holton, Arizona on beam; Kaylan Clevinger, Ohio State, on bars; and Alicia Sacramone, Brown, on beam.
