-Utah State entered the game as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation in shooting percentage. The Utes held the Aggies to 41% for the game (25-of-61), 12 percentage points lower than their 53% season average. Utah also held USU to 21% from three-point range (3-of-14), 17 percentage points below their season average of 38%.
-Utah took much better care of the ball in the second half, posting 10 assists to just four turnovers, after entering halftime with only three helpers to eight giveaways. The Utes finished the game with 13 assists to 12 turnovers.
-Senior center Luke Nevill recorded his fifth double-double of the season (25 pts, 11 rebs) and the 23rd of his career. He has now tallied a double-double against Utah State in back-to-back years.
-Nevill's 25 points (10-of-16 FG, 5-6 FT) were a game-high and his second-highest total of the season. He has reached double figures in all 11 games this season. He has now scored 10 or more points 85 times in 102 career games. He also scored at least 20 points for the fourth time this season and the 20th time in his career.
-For the second straight game, senior forward Shaun Green hit a career mark on the defensive end of the floor. He blocked three shots against Utah State, tying his career high, after making five steals in the last game against Weber State, which set a new career-high.
-Junior forward Kim Tillie had his best game since the second contest of the season against Green Bay. He tied his career-high of 10 rebounds, nine of which came in the first half, before leaving the game midway through the second half after splitting open his lip.
-Senior guard Tyler Kepkay scored in double-figures (12) for the sixth time this season.
-Utah hit its first seven free throws of the game. The Utes finished the contest 14-of-17 (.824) from the line.
-Freshman guard Jace Tavita started at point guard for the fourth straight game.
