The No. 2-ranked Utah gymnasts (4-0) go to Provo, Utah, on Friday, Feb. 8 for a dual meet with Brigham Young (1-4). The meet starts at 7 p.m. in the Marriott Center and will be televised live by KBYU and BYUTV. Also available is

QUICK STICKS
Utah is ranked second in the nation behind Georgia for the second straight week ... Utah has the top two all-arounders in the nation this week in Nina Kim (39.55 season average) and Ashley Postell (39.531 average). Kim has competed in just one all-around, while Postell has gone all-around in all four meets ... Utah has used four all-arounders this season and all have scored over a 39.00: Postell (39.80), Kristina Baskett (39.60), Kim (39.55) and Daria Bijak (39.15) ... Three of Utah's first four meets were at home and three of the next four meets are on the road ... Utah is 1-0 on the road, with a win over Arizona State.
UTE NOTES
Senior All-American Ashley Postell has won all four all-around and balance beam competitions this season. Dating back to her NCAA balance beam title last April, Postell has won five straight beam competitions. She has also won her last five all-around competitions, extending back to the 2007 NCAA Super Six ... Postell scored a 10.0 on the vault against Minnesota - her first ever on the event and the first 10.0 on vault by a Ute since 2004 ... Postell's career-best 39.80 all-around score last week is tied for the fourth-best in school history and is the best by a Ute since 2004 ... Nina Kim went all-around for the first time since her freshman year in 2006 last week against Minnesota and scored a career-best 39.55. It was also her first floor exercise routine in over a year and she tied her career-high with a 9.925 ... Jamie Deetscreek is emerging as possibly the best lead-off beam worker in the nation. She has averaged a 9.833 in the last three meets - ranking her 11th in the nation - and has a season-best 9.875 ... Senior Jessica Duke's parents are BYU alums and her father was the BYU student body president ... Ute winners this season: Postell (14), Kristina Baskett (3), Annie DiLuzio (1), Bijak (1), Kim (1) and Stephanie Neff (1).
NATIONAL RANKINGS
This week's top five has Georgia at No. 1 (196.820 average), followed closely by Utah (196.794), Florida (196.475), Alabama (196.256) and Michigan (196.225). Utah has already beaten Georgia and has meets scheduled with Florida (Mar. 14) and Michigan (Mar. 22). The rankings are based on total season average through Feb. 11. The complete top 25 can be found on page 3. Utah is ranked No. 2 on three events as well: vault (49.237), beam (49.187) and floor (49.187). The Utes are tied for third on bars (49.181).
UTES IN THE RANKINGS
2007 NCAA balance beam champion Ashley Postell is ranked No. 1 on the beam (9.906 average), No. 2 in the all-around (39.531), and is tied for No. 6 on the uneven bars with Kristina Baskett (9.894). Baskett (39.308) is 11th in the all-around. Ranked No. 1 in the nation in the all-around is Nina Kim, whose 39.55 season average reflects her only all-around of the season. Kim is tied for third on floor after scoring a 9.925 in her first attempt. Jamie Deetscreek (9.833) is tied for 11th on the beam and Daria Bijak (9.831) is 13th on the beam. Annie DiLuzio (9.875) is tied for 11th on floor.
SERIES SHORTS
Utah leads its all-time series with BYU 80-2, which includes a 19-2 mark in Provo. Utah has won 22 straight against the Cougars since losing back in 1998 in Provo.
