Utah head coach Jim Boylen
"Kim Tillie is a developing player. He was 6-for-7 for the field. I have been on him about being more efficient with his catches and more efficient with finishing plays. I thought he did that tonight; he made some shots and finished some plays. I was not happy about how he rebounded the ball. Luke Nevill is a skilled guy who can really score, over both shoulders and with both hands. He seems to have more energy when he comes off of the bench. You need to have an inside and outside punch to win in this league and I think we have that."
"(Senior) Johnnie Bryant is just a great kid. I've been very hard on him trying to make him into a guard and how to play winning basketball. He's taken it and ran with it, coming off of the bench. He has had a terrific senior year, and we still have some basketball to play."
"I asked my team before the game to have our best start defensively of the year. They are hard to guard because they run that motion passing game that we don't see much. Motion is sometimes difficult for us to guard, but I think we did a good job. Lawrence Borha did a great job on (Marcus) Walker."
"Our seniors are our foundation builders. They've never wavered on what we're trying to build. They've never complained about their roles and what I've asked them to do. They've been all for the team and always put the team first. In life, I think, people only want to be committed if only they're involved. Chris [Grant] didn't play as much as he wanted, Sayre [Brennan] didn't play at all and Johnnie didn't start. But they were still committed to what we are trying to build. I think that's one of the greatest compliments you can give somebody."
Utah Senior Johnnie Bryant:
"I got to talk to a lot of family and friends. I didn't know what was going to happen. I didn't know if I should cry or not cry. It was mixed emotions, but very touching. I appreciate the fans and my teammates. If it wasn't for them [teammates], I wouldn't be the player that I am today. My family has helped me along the way. It's been a great time here. It was good to end it on a win."
CSU Head Coach Tim Miles
"I think (Shaun) Green and (Johnnie) Bryant really hurt us. And (Kim) Tillie was a very good player as well. We were expecting more of Nevill though. It's Tillie's height that got us in a rut... he just needed to not be so good. Size is hard to overcome. But Utah played really great tonight."
