GEORGIA UTAH VAULT VAULT Hilary Mauro 9.775 Gael Mackie 9.750 Gina Muccio 9.800 Stephanie McAllister 9.800 Cassidy McComb 9.800 Annie DiLuzio 9.825 Marcia Newby 9.850 Jamie Deetscreek 9.800 Courtney Kupets 9.950 Nina Kim 9.800 Tiffany Tolnay 9.900 Kristina Baskett 9.850 VT: 49.300; Running: 49.300 VT: 49.075; Running: 98.475 Utah vault notes: Gael Mackie's vault might have been a little flat compared to last week's. Also, she had a little hip on her landing. Stephanie McAllister looked good coming off the horse. She had a half a step on her landing. Annie DiLuzio was big in the air but had a stop on her landing. Jamie Deetscreek had really nice amplitude and form, but had a hop on her landing. Nina Kim didn't get as much air off the vault as usual and had a small hop on the landing. Kristina Baskett had perfect form coming off the vault, but couldn't stick her landing. I think all of her deductions came on the landing.
BARS BAR Abby Stack 9.750 Stephanie McAllister 9.275 Gina Nuccio 9.825 Nina Kim 9.825 Marcia Newby 9.825 Jamie Deetscreek 9.875 Grace Taylor 9.925 Gael Mackie 9.875 Tiffany Tolnay 9.900 Daria Bijak 9.900 Courtney Kupets 9.975 Kristina Baskett 9.925 UB: 49.450; Running: 98.750 UB: 49.400; Running: 49.400 Utah bar notes: Freshman Stephanie McAllister fell almost immediately on her Gienger. It was first bar routine to count. Nina Kim had a really nice routine. Solid all the way through. Nice stick on her dismount. Best routine I've ever seen Jamie Deetscreek do. Her swings were beautiful, all release moves clean and high, stuck dismount. Gael Mackie had another big routine. I'm watching bars from a different angle than i ever do (from the end), so it's taking awhile to adjust, but she looked straight on all her handstands and nailed her dismount. Daria Bijak had a great routine after a sub-part three-minute touch. All of her dismounts were big, she moved between the bars well and stuck the landing. Main thing I saw was she cowboy'd her double front tuck dismount. Kristina Baskett's routine looked perfect to me. There must have been a little deduction here or there that I couldn't see from this angle. Very nice routine.
BEAM BEAM Page Burns 9.150 Gael Mackie 9.175 Hlary Mauro 9.825 Jamie Deetscreek 9.825 Cassidy McComb 9.775 Annie DiLuzio 9.700 Tiffany Tolnay 9.750 Kristina Baskett 9.825 Grace Taylor 9.900 Daria Bijak 9.750 Courtney Kupets 9.775 Nina Kim 9.850 BB: 49.025; Running: 147.775 BB: 48.950; Running: 196.725 Utah beam notes: Gael Mackie fell almost right away in her first career beam routine on her switch leap straddle. She had a bunch of other balance checks too. Jamie Deetscreek's routine was absolutely gorgeous. I think that is the best beam routine I've seen her do. I liked that for about a tenth higher than it received. Annie DiLuzio got dinged hard for some balance checks. She had a balance check after her flick lay and her tucked front. Otherwise, this was retty solid for the most part I thought. Kristina Baskett had a really, really nice routine, I thought. Jen Binkley informed me it was clean but that her leaps weren't high enough. So that explains the score. OK, neither one of us understands Daria Bijak's score and I'm glad Megan lodged an inquiry. That was a sensational routine. Daria gets way off the beam on her leaps, jumps and tumbling moves. She has a cool dismount. She did have a hop on the landing, but the rsst of that routine was dynamite. What's to say? Nina Kim's routine was beautiful. It was a nice set other than the early fall.
FLOOR FLOOR Abby Stack 9.875 Jamie Deetscreek 9.775 Hilary Mauro 9.875 Stephanie McAllister 9.775 Grace Taylor 9.850 Daria Bijak 9.875 Cassidy McComb 9.850 Nina Kim 9.900 Courtney Kupets 9.900 Kristina Baskett 9.850 Tiffany Tolnay 9.875 Annie DiLuzio 9.900 FX: 49.375; Running: 197.150 FX: 49.300; Running: 147.775 Utah floor notes: Jamie Deetscreek's routine looked great from clear across the floor. The only thing I couldn't see due to a blocked view was the end of her last tumbling pass. I'm wondering if deductions came on it. I really liked Stephanie McAllister's routine. She looked strong and clean throughout. I think in the obstructed view corner, she stepped back slightly from her two and a half punch front. Daria Bijak nailed her big first pass and then watered down the second, we think (according to my guest expert Jen Binkley). but she had enough difficulty to get the score. Nice routine. Wow, Nina Kim's routine was really nice. Her tumbling was dead on and her dance was beautiful. That was a great routine. Kristina Baskett's routine was really nice other than a big step out of a big double Arabian on her first pass. She came back and nailed her second pass--which ended with a pike double back. Rest of her routine was solid. Annie DiLuzio had an awesome routine. She started with a big, high, perfectly executed triple twist. Her great tumbling continued until a small step out of her final tumbling pass. Really a nice routine.
