Kristina Baskett's Photos Featured at NCAA Convention

SALT LAKE CITY -
Utah senior gymnast Kristina Baskett has been selected as one of 12 winners in an NCAA-sponsored student-athlete artist project. Baskett, an electronic journalism major whose career goal is to become a professional photographer, submitted two photos to the contest. There were more than 100 entrants from all divisions of the NCAA.
Baskett's photos will be displayed in the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C., site of the 2009 NCAA Convention, from Jan. 13-17. The show will be called "Statements." A subsequent show is being planned for Indianapolis--most likely in the NCAA Hall of Champions when it opens in February.

Her photographs will also be featured in the January 12 issue of NCAA Champion and will be available online at NCAAChampionMagazine.org by January 19.
