NU UTAHVAULT VAULTKristin Fyffe 9.725 Daria Bijak 9.825Lora Evanstad 9.800 Gael Mackie 9.800Erin Davis 9.850 Jamie Deetscreek 9.800Tricia Woo 9.750 Nina Kim 9.875Kylie Stone 9.850 Annie DiLuzio 9.875Kassandra Nathe 9.850 Kristina Baskett 9.875VT: 49.100; Running: 49.100 VT: 49.250; Running: 98.350Utah vault notes:You know how I feel about Daria's vault. It is so cool. She was all power off the horse, but did have a stepback on her landing.Gael Mackie had huge amplitude and landed way deep on the mat,but again, she had a step. In fact, a step and a half. Nicevault though.I missed most of Jamie Deetscreek vault because i waschecking on a score. Mostly, I just saw her landing (almosta stick) and smile (big).Nina Kim had an awesome vault. Lya predeicted there wouldn'tbe any 9.90s tonight, but I thought Nina would get one. Maybeeven a 9.95. Lya was right.Annie DiLuzio also caught big air, but like everyone but Ninabefore her, she stepped on her landing. Too bad or she wouldhave for sure gone 9.90-plus.Kristina Baskett looked like she was in slow motionrunning down the runway. I wasn't sure she'd even getto the vault, but she did and had a nice one with astick.
BARS BARSLora Evenstad 9.225 Stephanie McAllister 9.725Kathyrn Howard 9.825 Nina Kim 9.825Brittnee Habbib 9.850 Jamie Deetscreek 9.750Kylie Stone 9.050 Gael Mackie 9.825Brittney Willliams 9.825 Daria Bijak 9.800Kassandra Nathe 9.700 Kristina Baskett 9.900UB: 48.400; Running: 97.500 UB: 49.100; Running: 49.100Utah bar notes:Stephanie McAllister just raced through that routine. Sheleaned back on her drop to the low bar, but rightedherself. She had a couple of other little breaks butstuck the dismount.Nina Kim's routine looked good ... what I saw of it.We are having a few technical issues here.Jamie Deetscreek looked like she was a little sluggishon the bars and she didn't hit one handstand, butI didn't see any big deductions. That was a big routine by Gael Mackie. She didn't quitehold her landing, but it was really a nice routine.i have determined that the scoring is just very tighton this event.Daria Bijak also had a very powerful routine. Shestepped out of her dismount and Lya says she sawa small leg split when she went from the high tolow bar (I didn't see it).Kristina Baskett's routine had no discernible flaws.Lya reports that the vault scoring is also tight. I didn't getto see a single Nebraska vault, so I'll defer to her.FYI, Stephanie McAllister had a nice vault in exhibition, scoring a 9.825.
BEAM BEAMKathryn Howard 9.725 Kyndal Robarts 9.275Brittnee Habbib 9.725 Gael Mackie 9.725Kristin Fyffe 9.650 Jamie Deetscreek 9.850Kassandra Nathe 9.800 Daria Bijak 9.875Kylie Stone 9.775 Kristina Baskett 9.650Tricia Woo 9.900 Nina Kim 9.925BB: 48.925; Running: 146.425 BB: 49.025; Running: 196.525Utah beam notes:Kyndal Robarts fell on her flight series.Gael Mackie had a real gutsy performance, keeping a breakon her series minimal and hanging in with a couple of otherlittle breaks. She stuck that scary dismount.Jamie Deetscreek was clean, strong and steady. Shehas really developed into someone to watch.Daria Bijak had a killer routine. She nailed those hugeleaps and jumps, front tucks, back everything. Shehad a hop on the landing and even it looked good.OK, I may not know what the twisty front flip is calledthat Kristina Baskett does near the end of her routine, but I do know that she could have gone off but dida heroic windmill with her arms to stay upright.Nina Kim has ice running through her veins. What a greatroutine. She didn't wiggle an eyelesh.
FLOOR FLOORErin Davis 9.800 Jamie Deetscreek 9.825Kassandra Nathe 9.825 Gael Mackie 9.150Brittnee Habbib 9.825 Daria Bijak 9.725Lora Evenstad 9.875 Nina Kim 9.875Kylie Stone 9.875 Kristina Baskett 9.875Tricia Woo 9.900 Annie DiLuzio 9.850FX: 49.300; Running: 195.575 FX: 49.150; Running: 146.425Utah floor notes:Really nice routine by Jamie Deetscreek. She had a smallglitch on landing her final tumbling pass ... lookedlike it would have stung her foot a little, butnothing big. One of the scoring trees broke,so there was a little delay.Gael Mackie had a great routine going untilshe overdid her final double tuck and landed onher seat.I thought Daria Bijak's routine was great. She looked likeshe might be going a little low for her second front tuckon the first pass, but she hit it. She also hit the lastpass. At first, one judge flew a 9.90 and the other a 9.75.She got a .10 neutral deductiona and I'm not sure whybecause I'm right by the corner and she was inbounds.Nina Kim did that floor routine about as well as shecan. She was precise and her leaps were high and straight.Kristina Baskett's tumbling was off the charts amazing. She went up high and came down on a dime. She had onestep coming out of her final tumbling pass, butwow .. a 9.85 from one judge for that? That wastough. Also, I don't think they have line judges thatI can see and I wonder if that's why both Daria andGael got hit with an extra tenth deduction.Annie DiLuzio was heading for a huge score untilthe end when she went a little crooked on her tripletwist, stepping slightly back. Until then, reallyclean and big.
