Top-Ranked Ute Gymnasts Host BYU, SUU, TWU

SALT LAKE CITY - The No. 1 ranked Utah gymnasts play host to rival Brigham Young, Southern Utah and Texas Woman's on Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Last year's meet against BYU drew an NCAA record 15,447 fans, and while a big crowd is expected again for Friday, tickets are still available at 801-581-UTIX, www.UtahUtes.com and the box office.
Friday's meet counts toward the Deseret First Duel Rivalry Series between Utah and BYU. The winner in head-to-head competition will earn three points. Utah needs just seven points to reach 33--the magic number to clinch victory in the annual competition. To date, the Utes have won in volleyball (twice, 6), football (10), men's basketball (5) and women's basketball (5). The Cougars won in soccer (6).
