THIS WEEK
No. 2 ranked Utah (10-1) has its final home meet of the season on Friday, Mar. 13, hosting No. 5 Florida (6-3). Meet time is 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Utah would break the NCAA single-season attendance record of 13,164 with a crowd of 10,910 on Friday. Ute seniors Kristina Baskett and Nina Kim will be honored in a pre-meet ceremony. SENIOR SEND OFF
Seniors Kristina Baskett and Nina Kim, both nationally-ranked all-arounders, will make their final home appearance this Friday. Baskett (Normandy Park, Wash.) is a seven-time All-American who won the 2006 NCAA uneven bar title as a freshman. She placed second in the nation on the vault last year and was third in the all-around. A second-team 2008 CoSIDA Academic All-American, Baskett is a three-time winner of Utah's Dahl Academic Award. She leads the Utes with 23 wins this season and is currently ranked No. 2 in the nation in the all-around and on bars, No. 3 on vault and No. 15 on floor. Kim (Houston, Texas), a four-year USA National Team member prior to college, has been a clutch performer at the NCAA Championships, hitting 18-of-18 routines. She has made Utah's Academic Athletics Honor Roll all three years. Kin ranks second on the team in victories this season with eight and is currently ranked No. 11 nationally in the all-around, No. 6 on beam and No. 19 on vault.

Utah, which is averaging an NCAA-best 13,616 spectators per meet, needs a crowd of 10,910 against Florida to break the school and NCAA single-season attendance record of 13,164, set back in 1993 ... Florida has beaten Utah in the last three regular season competitions, while Utah has held the upper hand at the last four NCAA Championships. Since 2004, Utah and Florida are tied at 4-4 ... The Utah-Florida meet will be broadcast on Sunday at 11 a.m. MT on ABC-4. The Mtn. will rebroadcast the meet on Mar. 19 (8 p.m. MT) and Mar. 20 (9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. MT) ... Utah has just one regular season meet remaining after this Friday - on Mar. 20 against Brigham Young in Provo.

Utah is No. 2 in the rankings behind Georgia for the third straight week. Utah, which was ranked No. 1 for three weeks, has been in the top two all but one week this season ... Utah is No. 2 on vault (49.365 RQS), No. 2 on bars (49.325), No. 3 on floor (49.285) and No. 5 on beam (49.175) ... Kristina Baskett checks in at No. 2 in the all-around (39.540 RQS), No. 2 on bars (9.920), No. 3 on vault (9.925) and No. 15 on floor (9.880, tied with Annie DiLuzio). LAST WEEK
Buoyed by season-highs on vault (49.525) and beam (49.450), the No. 2 ranked Utah gymnasts easily out-distanced Arizona State, 197.350-194.350, before a crowd of 14,453 in the Huntsman Center on March 6. Kristina Baskett won the all-around (39.575) and bars (9.925), while tying for first on beam with Nina Kim and Daria Bijak - all with a 9.90. Joining the beam trio in the win column were Annie DiLuzio on vault (9.95) and
Kyndal Robarts on floor (9.875). Turning in yet another solid all-around performance in a runner-up effort was Jamie Deetscreek (39.35). Bijak tied for third in the all-around (39.20).
