The No. 11 ranked Utah gymnasts (0-1) host No. 21 Iowa State (1-0) on Friday, Jan. 15. The RC Willey Showdown starts at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Utah slipped nine places from its No. 2 preseason ranking after a 196.600-195.125 loss to No. 5 UCLA in Pauley Pavilion last Saturday ... The loss snapped a 10-meet win streak against the Bruins ... Utah's No. 11 ranking marks its first time out of the weekly top 10 since the school began keeping records of the poll in 1984 ... Utah is 5-0 all-time against Iowa State, with four of those wins coming in Salt Lake City ... Kyndal Robarts has Utah's top all-around score after one meet, posting a 39.150 to place third at UCLA last week. It was Robarts' first time in the all-around lineup ... Seniors Daria Bijak (38.600) and Jamie Deetscreek (38.550) both counted falls ... Sophomore Cortni Beers earned career highs on both events she competed at UCLA, scoring a 9.675 on bars and a 9.725 on beam ... Utah got off to a rocky start to its 2010 season last week at UCLA, falling 196.600-195.125 to the Bruins. It marked Utah's first season-opening loss since 2003 and was its lowest score since beating UCLA in the 2006 opener with a 194.875. In her first-ever all-around, junior Kyndal Robarts placed third with a 39.150. She was also Utah's high finisher on vault and beam, taking third on both with a 9.85. Daria Bijak and Jamie Deetscreek tied for second on bars (9.85) and Annie DiLuzio placed third on floor (9.875).SERIES SHORTS
