UTES TO HOST SALT LAKE CITY REGIONAL
Up next for the No. 10 Ute gymnasts is the NCAA Salt Lake Regional on Saturday, April 10. The meet starts at 6 p.m. MDT in the Huntsman Center. In order of seed, the Salt Lake City Regional field consists of Florida, Utah, Auburn, Boise State, Denver and Washington. Tickets are available at UtahUtes.com and by calling 801-581-UTIX (8849). There will be live scoring and video streaming on UtahUtes.com.
PUBLIC PRACTICES FRIDAY
The practices on Friday, April 9 will be free and open to the public. Practice sessions follow:

UTAH AT REGIONALS
This marks the 35th-consecutive regional appearance for the Utes, who have qualified for regionals and nationals every year since becoming a varsity program back in 1975-76. Utah has won 26 regional titles (including 23 of 28 NCAA) and finished second the other years.
REGION REPORT
Utah (11-3) is seeded No. 2 in its region for the first time since 2007, when the Utes were seeded behind Nebraska in the West Region in Berkeley, Calif. Utah, which was ranked No. 7 in the nation entering the postseason that year, won the regional meet (tying for the best regional score in the country) and placed second at the 2007 NCAA Championships ... Utah is attempting to qualify for a record 29th-consecutive NCAA Championships and is the only program to qualify for the first 28 to date. The Utes have made 34- consecutive national championship appearances total, including the AIAW years ... The Salt Lake City Regional is the toughest from top to bottom and the only region with all six teams ranked in the top 25. The field includes No. 4 Florida, No. 10 Utah, No. 16 Auburn, No. 18 Southern Utah, No. 19 Boise State, No. 22 Denver and No. 23 Washington ... Teams qualifying individuals into the Salt Lake City Regional as either all-arounders or event specialists were Utah State (Lyndsie Boone, Jackie Dillon, Heather Heinrich), Air Force (Michelle Denise, Jenna Dudley, Brittany Dutton, Lisa Wong), Wisconsin-La Crosse (Gabi Hooper) and Wisconsin-Stout (Meghan Hargens).
GETTING TO GAINESVILLE
The top two finishers at each regional will advance to the NCAA Championships in Gainesville, Fla., on April 22-24. There are six regional sites (see sidebar on page 3 for region fields and sites).
NCAA FIRST
Utah set a new NCAA attendance record this season by averaging 14,213 fans to its home meets. The 14,213 average crowd in the Huntsman Center (which seats 15,000), broke Utah's previous NCAA record of 13,861 set just a year ago. Not only did Utah set a new gymnastics attendance record this year, the Utes also became the first non-basketball team ever to win an NCAA women's season attendance title.
QUICK STICKS
Utah, winner of 10 national championships (9 NCAA), has placed in the top three at the last five NCAA Championships. The Utes placed second in 2006, 2007 and 2008, and third in 2005 and 2009 ... The Utes are 8-0 at home this season and 11-3 overall ... Utah is 1-1 against the regional field, beating Washington and losing to Florida. Both meets were on the road ... The Utes are 7-3 against ranked teams, with wins over Iowa State, Georgia, Washington, Nebraska, Oregon State, Southern Utah and Penn State, and losses to UCLA, Michigan and Florida ... Utah scored a season-best 196.975 on Mar. 12 ... The most people ever to attend an NCAA regional gymnastics championship was in 1992, when a crowd of 8,469 turned out in the Huntsman Center.
UTE REPORT
Utah has a winning record against every team in the Salt Lake City Regional and is undefeated against all but Florida. The Utes lead their all-time series with Florida 31-9 (24-3 in the postseason), Auburn 6-0, Boise State 11-0, Denver 14-0 and Washington 40-0-1 ... Sophomore all-arounder
Stephanie McAllister, who missed the regular season finale on Mar. 26 with a shoulder injury, expects to return for regionals ... Annie DiLuzio has eight wins on floor, where she is currently ranked No. 9 in the nation with a 9.915 RQS ... Utah's highest ranked individual is
Kyndal Robarts, who is tied for No. 6 on vault (9.925 RQS) ... Utah has three all-arounders ranked in the top 25: Daria Bijak is 11th (39.430 RQS), Robarts is 20th (39.305) and Jamie Deetscreek is tied for 24th (39.230 RQS) ... In its three losses, Utah won just one individual title (Robarts on vault vs. Michigan). In the nine competitions that Utah took first place, a Ute has won 43 of the 45 event/all-around titles ... Ute winners are Bijak (13), DiLuzio (13), Robarts (12), Deetscreek (11) and
Cortni Beers (1) ... Two Utes are without a fall: Robarts (46-46) and Rizzo (11-11).
ALL-AROUND GOOD
Utah will likely go with four all-arounders at the regional meet. Senior Daria Bijak, a two-time second-team All-America all-arounder, is currently ranked 11th in the nation with 39.430 regional qualifying score (RQS). Bijak's season-high is a 39.575, which is also her career best. She leads Utah with five all-around victories. Junior
Kyndal Robarts, in her first year as an all-arounder, has Utah's top score of 2010 (39.600 on Mar. 26). She has two victories in the all-around. Senior Jamie Deetscreek has a season-high 39.425 and her career-best is a 39.500, set last year. She has won two all-arounds this season. Sophomore
Stephanie McAllister hopes her injured shoulder heals enough for her to go all-around at regionals. The first-year all-arounder has a season-high 39.275.
