Nansy Damianovaand Stephanie McAllister stuck their landings after nice vaults. CorrieLothrop got some nice air, but couldn't quite handle the landing.Step cost her probably a tenth. Kyndal Robarts' vault looked flat outperfect.
BARS BARSChrista Tanella 9.775 Nansy Damianova 9.750Noel Couch 9.775 Jacquelyn Johnson 9.800Gina Nuccio 9.925 Cortni Beers 8.600Cassidy McComb 9.800 Gael Mackie 9.850Kat Ding 9.875 Corrie Lothrop 9.775Shayla Worley 9.825 Stephanie McAllister 9.875UB: 49.200; Running: 98.275 UB: 49.050; Running: 49.050Utah bar notes:On her first college bar routine, Nansy Damianovagot the Utes off to a great start. Jacq Johnson was alsoclean and solid, but Cortni Beers ran into allsorts of trouble ... pause, hit feet on bars, extraswings, etc. It seemed like the poor thing was on the barsforever. Gael Mackie followed up with a really nice routine. She stuck her landing, but her legs were a little split. One judge gave her a 9.90, which is how I saw it too. I'm notsure what hurt Corrie's score. Lya Wodraska thinks her legswere open on her layout. Steph McAllister's routine was abeauty and her 9.875 tied her career high.
BEAM BEAMNoel Couch 9.625 Fumina Kobayashi 9.775Lindsey Cheek 9.825 Stephanie McAllister 9.800Christa Tanella 9.500 Cortni Beers 9.225Hilary Mauro 9.775 Corrie Lothrop 9.800Shayla Worley 9.850 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.850Cassidy McComb 9.850 Kyndal Robarts 9.775BB: 48.925; Running: 147.200 BB: 49.000; Running: 195.900Utah beam notes:In her first routine to count this season, Fumina Kobayashi ledUtah off with a nice routine. She had a couple of little balancechecks, but it was a good start and a career high. StephanieMcAllister smiled through her entire routine. One small balancecheck. Cortni Beers had a painful looking fall onto the beam, but got back up and finished. Rough night for Cort.Corrie Lothrop had a really nice routine. Strong, steady, cool elements. One judge gave her a 9.85. Mary Beth Lofgren'sroutine was absolutely stunning. I did not see one form break. KyndalRobarts wind-milled after her first series, but was rock solid fromthere.
FLOOR FLOORMariel Box 9.575 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.725Noel Couch 9.650 Jacquelyn Johnson 9.750Shayla Worley 9.700 Nansy Damianova 9.800Gina Nuccio 9.500 Stephanie McAllister 9.800Cassidy McComb 9.925 Kyndal Robarts 8.875Hilary Mauro 9.750 Corrie Lothrop 9.600FX: 48.600; Running: 195.800 FX: 48.725; Running: 146.900Utah floor notes:Mary Beth Lofgren started things out with a nice, cleanroutine. I thought Jacq Johnson's routine had a lot of energy, but she kind of skidded out of her final tumbling pass. NansyDamianova had another nice, clean routine. Not many areas fordeductions. I missed Stephanie "Happy" McAllister's first pass, butthe rest was a beauty, starting with a pretty full-in onthe second pass. Lya thought she balked a little at one point, which I didn't see, but it would explain her 9.80. Utahstruggled at the end, with Kyndal Robarts falling on herfirst pass (double arabian) and Corrie Lothrop nearlyfalling at the end of her final tumbling pass. Therest of their routines were really nice.
