The Utah gymnasts travel to Logan, Utah, for a Friday, Feb. 25 meet with Utah State. The meet starts at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Utah is 6-1 while the Aggies are 1-10. QUICK STICKS
The Utes, No. 3 for the past three weeks, dropped out of the national rankings this week because they do not have the requisite three road scores for the new ranking calculation (regional qualifying score). Utah will return to the rankings after this Friday's meet at Utah State ... Utah is averaging over 13,000 fans per meet in the Huntsman Center. With one home meet remaining, Utah's 13,092 attendance average leads the nation, just ahead of Alabama (13,088) ... Last week's 196.425-195.425 win over No. 8 Michigan marked the first time this season that the Utes have not improved their score from the previous week ... LAST WEEK
A season-high crowd of 13,975 saw the No. 3 Utes beat No. 8 Michigan 196.425-195.425.
Stephanie McAllister won the floor (9.90) and was Utah's high all-arounder finisher, placing second with a 39.30. Getting her first victory as a Ute was
Fumina Kobayashi, who tied for first on beam with
Cortni Beers, both with a 9.85.
Gael Mackie won bars with the best event score of the night on any event--a 9.925.
SERIES SHORTS
