The No. 5-ranked Utah gymnasts will host No. 1 Florida in their last home meet of the season on Friday, Mar. 4. The annual Senior Night starts at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Ute seniors Jacquelyn Johnson, Gael Mackie and Kyndal Robarts will be recognized in a pre-meet ceremony, which will also feature a new fireworks show. Fans will receive a special light-up gift and 2012 season tickets will go on sale. The meet will be televised delayed on KUCW on Sunday at noon. SENIOR NIGHT
Seniors Jacquelyn Johnson, Gael Mackie and Kyndal Robarts will make their final Huntsman Center appearances on Friday, although the All-American Robarts will not compete due to a knee injury that has sidelined her for five weeks. Johnson and Mackie could potentially go all-around for the second-straight week. Johnson scored a 39.225 in her first career all-around last Friday at Utah State. Mackie scored a 39.025 last week in her first all-around appearance of the season. Her career all-around high is a 39.125 in 2009. Robarts, a two-time first-team All-American and last season's Utah MVP, was ranked No. 1 in the nation on the vault before injuring her knee in pre-meet warm-ups at Nebraska on Jan. 22. Her all-around best is a 39.60 in 2010. Since the trio joined the team in 2008, Utah has logged a 42-6 regular season record and has qualified for the NCAA Super Six every year, placing second in 2008, third in 2009 and sixth in 2010.QUICK STICKS
Utah and Florida have two common opponents. Both teams beat Nebraska and Georgia ... Freshman all-arounder Corrie Lothrop, who has Utah's best all-around score of the season (a 39.500), is questionable for the Florida meet with an ankle injury. The Utes have not counted a fall yet this season and have hit 182-192 of their routines for a 95% success rate ... Utah's freshman class has performed 50-percent (96-192) of the team's total routines with just one fall ... Senior Gael Mackie is tied for fifth nationally on bars (9.885 RQS) and freshman Mary Beth Lofgren is tied for 22nd on beam (9.83) ... McAllister leads Utah with nine wins.
