I did notsee a single deduction. It was beautiful.Don't rate Victoria Shanley's vault on her score. That was a great vault. I thought she would geta 9.875.The scoring seems to have gotten really tight onvault. Mary Beth Lofgren leaned out of her landinga bit, but she too, had a good vault.Corrie Lothrop got great amplitude and distancewith straight body and legs. Small hop on landingcost her big.Nansy Damianova threw a beauty. She leaned a littleout of her dismount.Stephanie McAllister lost a chance at a big scorewhen she stepped on her landing.
BARS BARSKayCee Gassaway 9.750 Jacquelyn Johnson 9.825Raquel Willman 9.875 Corrie Lothrop 8.975Jennifer Lezeu 9.750 Nansy Damianova 9.850Madeleine Johnson 9.900 Cortni Beers 9.875Hayley Rollins 9.900 Stephanie McAllister 9.900Natalie Eyre 9.850 Gael Mackie 9.925UB: 49.275; Running: 98.250 UB: 49.375; Running: 49.375Utah bar notes:Jacq Johnson hit the routine but had bent kneeson that blind flip from the top to bottom bars.Corrie Lothrop's lack of training showed on herreturn to the bar lineup. She stopped midwaythrough and then fell on her dismount.Nansy Damianova had a nice routine other thana slight stall and arched back on the low bar.Cortni Beers had a fast swing going. Nice routine.Stephanie McAllister was clean and fast on thebars. Little lean but no step on landing.Gael Mackie has got it going on bars. She wasconfident and clean. Her edge over Steph cameon a slightly better landing.
BEAM BEAMMadeleine Johnson 9.750 Jacquelyn Johnson 9.700Megan Bain 9.725 Corrie Lothrop 9.775Raquel Willman 9.800 Stephanie McAllister 9.675Natalie Eyre 9.875 Cortni Beers 9.825Jennifer Lezeu 9.075 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.875Krysten Kovall 9.900 Nansy Damianova 9.250BB: 49.050; Running: 147.300 BB: 48.850; Running: 196.700Utah beam notes:Jacq Johnson's routine was nice other than a windmillon her second trip down the beam.Nice routine by Corrie Lothrop. She looked verycomfortable. I didn't see any big deductions.Stephanie McAllister landed hard on that move whereshe flips backwards and straddles the beam. Shetilted way over. I wasn't sure if she'd be able tofinish because it had to hurt, but she did.Cortni Beers had another really nice beam routine. She had one very small balance check was it.Mary Beth Lofgren fixed the only problem she has hadhas been, which has been her landing.Nansy Damianova has the coolest, scariest things inher routine, but it was on one of the less scary onesthat she windmilled like crazy trying to get herbalance, but couldn't quite do it. If she hits that routinein competition, I swear she will win nationals.
FLOOR FLOORMegan Bain 9.225 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.775Raquel Willman 9.725 Lia Del Priore 9.825Jessica Villegas 9.850 Corrie Lothrop 9.825Mickell Merrell 9.850 Jacquelyn Johnson 9.875Jennifer Lezeu 9.200 Nansy Damianova 9.900Haylee Rollins 9.850 Stephanie McAllister 9.875FX: 48.500; Running: 195.800 FX: 49.300; Running: 147.850Utah floor notes:In my opinion, one of Mary Beth Lofgren's bestfloor routines. She did a nice job sticking hertumbling passes. Her leaps looked good.Solid, methodical routine by Lia Del Priore. She stuck her second pass (pike double back), but itmight have been a little low.Corrie Lothrop hit her routine, but her time off showedin that it was not as clean as usual.Linda Hamilton of the Deseret News had just commentedthat Jacq Johnson's routine was "about as good as shecan do it." She tied her career high.Nansy Damianova's routine was flat out gorgeous.Beautiful dance and leaps, but her tumbling waseven better. She just dropped out of the sky andstuck her landings cold.Stephanie McAllister's biggest mistake came when shewalked onto the mat to start her routine and trippedon some bunched matting. She laughed, went out andhad fun, like always, on a nice routine.
