The NCAA office has announced the pairings for the upcoming NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regionals and Utah is headed for the Norman Regional in Norman, Okla. Six regional meets will be held at campus sites on Saturday, April 2, with the top two teams from each regional advancing to the NCAA Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, April 15-17.
Fans may purchase tickets through the Utah ticket office until Mar. 24 at 6 p.m. MT.
Utah, which finished the regular season ranked No. 7 in the nation, received a No. 2 seed into the Norman Regional behind No. 5-ranked and top-seeded Oklahoma. Other teams in the region in order of their seed are 17th-ranked Washington, New Hampshire, Missouri and North Carolina.
Utah is making its 36th-consecutive regional appearance and has won 26 regional titles (including 23 of 29 NCAA), while finishing second the other nine years. Utah will try to extend its record streak of consecutive national championships appearances to 36. The Utes have qualified for the national tournament all 35 previous years under coach Greg Marsden.
