LAST WEEK
A remarkable comeback by the No. 5-ranked Ute gymnasts fell five one-hundredths of a point short in a 196.075-196.025 loss to top-ranked UCLA before a sold-out Wooden Center crowd on Jan. 8 in Los Angeles. Stephanie McAllister won the balance beam (9.85) and
Georgia Dabritz won the floor (9.90). McAllister and
Corrie Lothrop finished second and third in the all-around, scoring 39.325 and 39.275, respectively.
