STANFORD UTAHVAULT VAULTMelissa Chuang 9.775 Becky Tutka 9.825Rachel Daum 9.825 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.800Taylor Rice 9.775 Nansy Damianova 9.850Danielle McNair 9.800 Kailah Delaney 9.950Nicolette McNair 9.850 Tory Wilson 9.925Kristina Vaculik 9.850 Georgia Dabritz 9.875VT: 49.100; Running: 49.100 VT: 49.425; Running: 98.775Utah vault notes: Becky Tutka wasn't quite as explosiveas usual, most likely because she has a tweaked ankle. That'swhy she won't compete on floor today.Nice vault by Mary Beth Lofgren. Didn't quite stick her landing.Nansy Damianova was really good in the air. Nice form and distance. She leaned forward on her dismount, although she didn't take astep.Kailah Delaney's vault looked perfect. Long, high, stucklanding. Really nice.Tory Wilson shot sky high. I thought she stuck her landingtoo, although it was sort of hard to see from my vantagepoint. I'm not sure where her deduction came.Georgia Dabritz took a slight step after a big vault. It's thatone where she lands facing out and it's really hard to stickthat one cold.
BARS BARSShona Morgan 9.900 Breanna Hughes 9.850Taylor Rice 9.875 Tory Wilson 9.825Nicolette McNair 9.875 Hailee Hansen 9.775Danielle McNair 9.875 Corrie Lothrop 9.850Samantha Shapiro 9.900 Nansy Damianova 9.900Kristina Vaculik 9.850 Georgia Dabritz 9.925UB: 49.425; Running: 98.525 UB: 49.350; Running: 49.350b>Utah bar notes: Breanna Hughes got Utah off to a greatstart with maybe her best bar routine this year. Really good flow, nice handstands. Small step on dismount.Tory Wilson just skied on her dismount. I mean, she was SO high. Shedid take a step back on the dismount, but wow.Hailee Hansen had to go to plan B and covered perfectly. Great dismountand stick.Corrie Lothrop hit her handstands and her set. She was sick yesterday andlooked a little bit labored to me.Nansy Damianova's routine was a beauty. Very clean.Georgia Dabritz had another beauty. I'm trying to see what she did"wrong" and the only thing I saw was she paused a little longer thanusual one one handstand. I don't even know if that is a deduction.
BEAM BEAMShona Morgan 9.850 Baely Rowe 9.725Rebecca Wing 9.825 Georgia Dabritz 9.675Nicolette McNair 9.850 Tory Wilson 9.775Taylor Rice 9.825 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.150Kristina Vaculik 9.825 Kailah Delaney 9.025Amanda Spinner 9.850 Corrie Lothrop 9.775BB: 49.200; Running: 147.725 BB: 48.075; Running:196.300Utah beam notes: Only a balance check midway through ona flight series marred this routine by Baely Rowe. She made a nicerecovery and finished strong.Georgia Dabritz was substituted in during the touch warmups andhad a great routine going before and after a near fall. Kudos toher for staying on and finishing strong.Tory Wilson had a sweet routine going, nailed her flight series andearly leaps, but had a big balance check on a later leap. Stuck herdismount.Mary Beth Lofgren was not clicking right from the start andfell after two shaky trips up and down the beam.Like Mary Beth Lofgren, Kailah Delaney also looked nervous andcautious from the start right up to her fall.I think Corrie Lothrop might have missed a connection on a leapseries. She was in a bad spot finishing that set and was alittle tentative.
FLOOR FLOORShona Morgan 9.875 Mary Beth Lofgren 9.825Jenna Frowein 9.825 Kailah Delaney 9.825Rachel Daum 9.800 Lia Del Priore 9.725Pauline Hanset 9.825 Tory Wilson 9.900Taylor Rice 9.800 Georgia Dabritz 9.975Kristina Vaculik 9.950 Nansy Damianova 9.925Fx: 49.275; Running: 197.000 FX: 49.450; Running: 148.225Utah floor notes: Back in the lineup in place of Becky Tutka (tweakedankle), Mary Beth Lofgren responded with a nice routine. Good tumbling andleaps. When Kailah Delaney totally hits that huge full in on her firstpass, she is going to score huge. She stepped back on this one,but stayed inbounds. Really high, impressive leaps. Nice stuckfinal tumbling pass.Lia Del Priore struggled to hit her tumbling passes. First full in waslow and she had to take a step on her other two.Scoring issues were the reason I stopped putting scores in for awhile. They don't have any scoring trees here and there must have been somecommunications issues with the scoring system.Have I said lately that Tory Wilson skies high? Her double layout was throughthe roof and she stuck it cold. Great tumbling and high-flying acrobaticleaps.Georgia Dabritz's floor routine was as good as it gets. She looked perfectto me and to one judge. Big, clean tumbling, soft landings. Wow.Nansy Damianova's only error was a small step on her first tumbling pass. The rest was pretty much error free.
