SALT LAKE CITY - Delon Wright was named First Team All-Pac-12 and also earned a spot on league's All-Defensive squad it was announced today by the conference offices.
He is the first Ute to receive first team honors or all-defensive accolades from the conference.
Wright leads the league in steals with 2.6 per contest and also ranks among the top 15 in minutes played (1st), assists (3rd), field goal percentage (3rd), assist/turnover ratio (4th), blocks (6th), scoring (7th), free throw percentage (9th) and rebounds (12th).
Wright joined Jordan Loveridge as Player of the Week selections this year for Utah, its first winners since joining the Pac-12 Conference in 2011. The duo is scoring 45 percent of Utah's points this season and grabbing 39 percent of the rebounds.
Wright has scored in double figures the last 18 games for the Utes and has scored 20 points or more in eight games. Utah is 7-1 this year when Wright scores seven field goals or more.
Utah plays Washington on Wednesday at 1 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Networks in the first round of the conference tournament from Las Vegas, Nevada.
