Six Ute Gymnasts Named All-Pac-12 Conference

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--Georgia Dabritz and Tory Wilson led a cast of six Ute gymnasts named to the 2014 All-Pac-12 Conference team today.

Dabritz, the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year and the conference vault, bars and floor champion, was named first-team all-conference on all three events. The junior has now won five first-team All-Pac-12 citations in her career. Tory Wilson, the Pac-12 all-around champion and Gymnast of the Year, was named a first-team all-arounder for the second-straight year. First-team all-arounders are not eligible for individual event all-conference honors.

Joining Dabritz and Wilson on the 2014 first team were Kailah Delaney on vault and Nansy Damianova on bars and floor. Delaney also was first-team All-Pac-12 on vault as a freshman, while Damianova makes her first appearance on the all-conference team.

Becky Tutka earned second-team honors on floor for a second time and Corrie Lothrop made the second team on bars. Lothrop, who is competing on two events this season after coming back from Achilles surgery, was a first-team All-Pac-12 all-arounder in 2012.

The All-Pac-12 team is determined by a combination of 50-percent regional qualifying score and 50-percent conference championship score. The all-conference team consists of the top six all-around competitors, plus the top three competitors in each individual event who are not among the all-around honorees. The Pac-12 second team consists of the top two all-arounders who were not named to the first team (as all-arounders or in an event), and the top two gymnasts from each event who were not named to the first team.

The all-conference accolades are the latest in a long line of awards for the 2014 Pac-12 champion Utes. A complete list follows:
