SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah volleyball team came out firing on all cylinders and took the first set from No. 12-ranked UCLA, but the Bruins countered with wins in the second, third and fourth set to down the Utes 3-1 (17-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-16) Friday evening at the Huntsman Center.
Utah falls to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in Pac-12 play, while the Bruins pushed its record to 12-3 overall and 3-2 in league play.

The Utes traded points with the Bruins and later took an 11-10 lead midway through the fourth set, but a 10-2 run from the visiting squad was too much and the Bruins went on to take the frame 25-16 and down the Utes in four sets.
