No. 3 Utah Gymnasts Compete at No. 17 Washington Saturday

THIS WEEK IN UTAH GYMNASTICS

The No. 3 Utah gymnastics team (7-0, 3-0 Pac-12) competes at No. 17 Washington (5-2, 1-1 Pac-12 prior to a Feb. 9 meet at UCLA) on Saturday, Feb. 14. The meet starts at 4 p.m. PT/5 p.m. MT in Alaska Airlines Arena and will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.

QUICK STICKS

Utah's No. 3 national ranking is its best this season ... Utah has never lost to Washington (47-0-2) but there have been two ties in the series. Both ties came in Seattle and both came under similar circumstances, with UW coming from behind on the final routine. The last time Utah competed in Seattle (Feb. 15, 2013), Washington's final gymnast on floor received a 9.925 for the tie. In 2001, the last Husky needed a 10.0 and got it ... Georgia Dabritz is ranked No. 1 in the nation in the all-around for the fourth straight week and is also No. 1 on floor ... Utah has averaged 14,509 fans to its first three home meets ... Georgia Dabritz was named Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week for her four wins against ASU and Tory Wilson was awarded the Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week for her 10.0 on vault against ASU. Utah has now collected six Pac-12 weekly awards: Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week Wilson (Jan. 12) and Dabritz (Jan. 19, Feb. 2, Feb. 9); Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week Corrie Lothrop (Jan. 26) and Wilson (Feb. 9).

IN THE RANKINGS

Utah moved up one position to No. 3 in the latest national rankings and Georgia Dabritz is No. 1 in the nation in the all-around and on floor. Dabritz is also ranked No. 2 on vault and No. 3 on bars. Utah's best event ranking is No. 3 on both vault and bars. See page 3 for complete Utah rankings.

Ute winners this season: Georgia Dabritz (15), Tory Wilson (4), Baely Rowe (2), Kari Lee (1), Corrie Lothrop (1) ... Utah has not had a fall in the last two meets and has not counted a fall yet this season. The Utes are 117-120 in hit routines (routines without a fall). Gymnasts who have hit every routine are Wilson (20-20), Dabritz (19-19), Lee (13-13), Breanna Hughes (8-8), Tiffani Lewis (7-7), Kailah Delaney (6-6), Kassandra Lopez (5-5) and Maddy Stover (5-5).

UTE INSIDER

Sophomore Baely Rowe is from Federal Way, Wash. ... Utah has had four all-arounders score a 39.35 or better: Georgia Dabritz (39.70), Tory Wilson (39.55), Corrie Lothrop (39.45) and Rowe (39.35) ... Rowe could return to the all-around lineup this week, replacing Lothrop on the vault, but Samantha Partyka is also in the running for the final vault spot ... Breanna Hughes (bars, beam) missed last week's meet with an elbow injury. She is questionable for Saturday's meet at UW.
